On your way to your A-License
In skydiving, there are a number of certifications and qualifications. These certifications and qualifications demonstrate your level of knowledge and skill. As a result, you gain increasing freedom and responsibilities.
The first certification you’ll encounter after basic training is the A Certificate. To earn it, you must meet a number of practical requirements and pass a theory test. These requirements must be checked off on the A Certificate task list and in your logbook. Don’t have the task list yet? Pick one up at the manifest or check parachute.nl.

Formation instructionjumpings / 1 on 1
To earn your A-License, you must complete at least 5 formation training jumps. During these jumps, you’ll learn how to jump safely with other people.
To help you get started, Skydive Teuge has developed the 1-on-1 program. After completing this program, you’ll be able to jump alongside other skydivers.
Completing the entire program takes an average of 8 to 12 jumps. Skydive Teuge encourages beginner skydivers to complete this program! That’s why you’ll receive a discount on the jump price for both you and your instructor. This applies to all skydivers with fewer than 100 jumps and up to a maximum of 10 jumps. Canopy Control & Precision Landings
In addition to mastering freefall, it’s a lot of fun to learn how to control your parachute better. To earn your A-License, you’ll need to meet a number of practical requirements related to this..
For example, you have to land within 15 meters of a target several times, and you have to spend 5 jumps on canopy control.
You can get help with this from the Skydive Teuge training staff. In addition, events focused on this topic are organized regularly.

Packingtest
If you have your A-License, you’re allowed to pack your own parachute! This can save you quite a bit of money, and it feels good to know exactly how your gear is packed.
You can request a packing course directly with on of our packers. Here you find the packers who can teach you!
To earn your A-License, you must pass the packing test. During this test, you’ll show one of the instructors that you can pack your own parachute.
Spotting & Clear and Pull
“Spotting” is how you check whether the airspace is clear for a jump and whether you’re jumping from the right spot. Although our planes are equipped with the latest GPS devices, it’s always wise to check for yourself whether you can jump.
You must also complete a “Clear and Pull” for your A-license. In this maneuver, you jump from the plane at a lower altitude and open your parachute after a short delay.
Theory Test
An important step in earning your A license is passing the theory test. For this test, you’ll learn about key aspects of equipment, meteorology, and Dutch regulations, and you’ll gain general knowledge about the sport of skydiving.

Congratulations—you’ve earned your A-License!!!
You are now a beginner in sport skydiving. You’ll notice that you’re seen less as a student and are given more responsibilities.
From here on out, many doors will open for you! For example, you can try out different disciplines such as formation skydiving or freefly. Skydive Teuge organizes fun events for these as well.
