Bad weather conditions in particular can spoil the party. Rain, fog, low clouds and stormy wind. All reasons not to fly and jump. We usually only know on the day itself how the weather has developed. It makes no sense to call one day in advance and ask about the weather for the next day. The evening news already gives a nice indication the day before. If the weather is not good enough to do the jump, we will activate your E-ticket again so you can make a new appointment through your online account.
- Your body weight cannot be more than 100 kg.
- You just should generally be healthy.
- You must be able to keep your legs up for a while (10 seconds) during landing.
- For the disabled, we determine per person whether a tandem jump is possible.
- Our recommended age is from 8 years. But even more important is that the person wants it themselves.
- Minors require a signature from the legal representative (s).
- It is not wise to jump when you have a cold or your ears are blocked. With a cold, chances are that you cannot clear your ears and cavities properly.
- It is not allowed to jump under the influence of heavy medicines, drinks and / or other mind-expanding agents.
We do not know a real lower limit but think of at least a year or 8. Then the child fits well in the harness and can also decide whether he or she wants to jump. We think it is important that the child wants it himself and is not pushed by the environment. Often the instructor will talk with the child beforehand to properly assess whether the child is ready for this wonderful but quite “intense” experience. The elderly can also jump and if you are physically fit, taking the jump at the age of 70 is no problem. If you are unsure whether it is wise for you because you have, for example, a prosthesis or just suffer from a severe cold, feel free to ask us and we will assess it together with you.
That is not a problem in itself. We supply protective glasses (goggles) that you place over your own glasses. We advise you to wear sports glasses in the case of fragile glasses. Wearing glasses is therefore possible, but at your own risk.
You will receive a suit and goggles from us. In the summer, a T-shirt and short / long pants is enough to put on underneath . A skirt is less handy. In other seasons, a nice sweater and pants are sufficient. In the winter it is nice to put on gloves. As footwear, we recommend sturdy shoes, preferably with laces. Sport shoes are also sufficient. Almost everything is good, but we sometimes get people on flip flops or stiletto heels and they are not suitable for jumping (possibly take a pair of sneakers with you separately).
Yes, we have a large terrace from where you can see the free fall above the airport and the landing on the field.
No, unfortunately that is not allowed. Our aircraft is designed as a skydive aircraft with a large door that will open at a height so that the skydivers can jump. For this reason, there must be no passengers on board who have no specific function. Every passenger must wear a parachute and be trained, or be linked to a tandem instructor as a passenger.
Tandem skydiving is very safe. That’s because you jump with very experienced instructors who have to meet tough requirements every year. They have the technology to safely perform the jump and, in addition, adhere to tightly imposed implementation rules. The instructors are by no means nonchalant, but sometimes they feel that way because they want to put you and your fellow passengers at ease. Even though they often do lightly about the jump with you, they are highly focused and focused on the technical correct and safe execution of the jump. We also have the most modern and safest equipment available. Tandem equipment consists of a main parachute and a spare parachute. In addition, each equipment is equipped with a type of computer that automatically takes over the opening of the instructor’s parachute in special cases. Instructor and technology together ensure optimum safety.
It is best to take a few hours for your tandem skydive. When you arrive you start the registration and you will hear when the tandem skydive is planned. We reserve a time, but it can take half an hour or more. Parachuting is again dependent and we may have been delayed by rain, clouds or something like that.
Once it’s your turn, you’ll be called up and given a jumpsuit, harness and briefing. It takes around fifteen minutes. Shortly thereafter you will meet your instructor and together with him you will go to the plane. The flight to the jump height takes around 10 to 15 minutes. Arriving above the airport you jump out of the plane, tied up. The free fall and the glide flight under the parachute last about 5 minutes until landing. Finally, change your clothes and receive your certificate.
Bringing your own cameras and telephones and the likes is a risk for the instructor and people on the ground. Moreover, recording in the air is specifically regulated. It is therefore not allowed to bring your own cameras, whether or not locked, during the jump. If you want recordings of the jump then you can have a specially authorized and trained photo / video jumper jump along. For more info, see “photo and video report”.
The cameraman jumps together with the tandem. Other tandems are often in free fall hundreds of meters away. It is therefore not possible to film it. Of course, all participants can be filmed on the plane, before and during landing. Tell your cameraman who you came with and he will make sure that they too are in the picture every now and then.
In the free fall, a person who jumps only falls about 200 kmph. However, with a tandem, where two people are stuck together, it would go much faster. Too fast for it to be comfortable and moreover opening the parachute would also be a painful experience if it goes too fast. The small parachute (called a droque) opens the tandemmaster shortly after leaving the aircraft and ensures that the speed remains approximately 200 kmph just like a person jumping alone.
