On your way to your B-License
If you’ve been skydiving for a while, it might be worth getting your B license. Once you have it, you’ll no longer need to take a harness test every 3 months or submit a medical certificate every 2 years.
Once you earn your B license, you’ll progress from a beginner sport skydiver to an advanced sport skydiver. After that, for example, you’ll be allowed to drop sport skydivers without an A license and pack gear for other skydivers.
Are you looking for the steps to get your A-License? Click this link. Below, you can read more about the steps to earning your B license.
Formation instructionjumpings
To earn your B-certificate, you must complete at least 10 formation training jumps, 5 of which must include at least 3 participants.
You may have already completed some of these jumps while going through the 1-on-1 program. You can also do jumps with a coach and other participants!
Canopy Control & Precision Landings
Whereas for your A-certification you had to complete landings within 15 meters of a target, for your B-certification this distance is only 5 meters! You must do this a total of 10 times.
In addition, you must also dedicate at least 10 jumps to Canopy Control. During these jumps, you’ll do exercises to get to know your parachute better.
You can get help with this from the Skydive Teuge training staff. In addition, events focused on this are organized regularly. You can find these events by clicking on this link.
Sportdisciplines
The most fun and at the same time, the most challenging requirements to complete: sports discipline requirements.
You can choose from Formation Skydiving, Freefly, Freestyle, Canopy Formation, Precision, and Style. Depending on which module you choose, you’ll need to have a number of requirements signed off on. You can find this on the KNVvL website via this link.
Here, too, you can ask the Skydive Teuge instructional staff for advice. However, we recommend that you make jumps with a coach.
Theory Test
An important step in obtaining your B license is passing the theory test. For this test, you’ll learn about key aspects of equipment, meteorology, and Dutch regulations, and you’ll gain general knowledge about the sport of skydiving.
To help you pass this test, you can, for example, attend a theory class. Would you like to know more about this? Ask one of the instructors!
Congratulations—you’ve earned your B-License!!!
You are now an advanced sport skydiver. A number of requirements, such as the harness test and medical certificate, no longer apply to you. However, you’ll be under closer scrutiny in your role as a jumpmaster.
Eventually, you can go on to earn your C and D licenses or begin working toward your first instructor certifications. Would you like to know more about this? Talk to a member of the instructional staff, they can tell you more.
