Frequently asked questions - Courses
The KNVvL (Royal Dutch Aviation Association) is an umbrella organisation in the Netherlands for various air sports, including a skydiving section. Your third-party liability insurance is also arranged through the KNVvL. A basic training course includes provisional membership of the KNVvL, which remains valid for the current year. However, the following year you must become a full member of the KNVvL if you decide to continue with skydiving.

The ground training takes just over a day. After a practical and theoretical test, you’ll generally be ready to jump. The jumps themselves are, of course, weather-dependent; in good weather, you can complete the 3-jump AFF course in 3 days (1 day of theory and 2 days of jumping). The AFF course can be completed in 4 days.
We regularly organise courses for new enthusiasts! The basic training course usually starts on a Thursday or Sunday. Check the Course Dates page for available dates and sign up straight away!
Do you have a group of ten people or more? If so, please contact us to arrange a separate date for a private training course.
A skydiving license is a kind of passport that you are issued after completing your ground training. It contains your personal details, as well as the date of your ground training and the name of your instructor. The passport photo you provide to us before the course is also used for this purpose. There is also space to have your first license signed.
These costs are included in the course package while you are participating in the course.

A skydiving licence remains valid for life. However, if you have not jumped for more than three months, you must complete a refresher course before you are allowed back in the air.
The hire of a (freefall) jumpsuit, helmet, and altimeter is included in the course.
After the course, we have jumpsuits and helmets available to rent. If you also rent your freefall gear (rig) from us, this includes the rental of your jumpsuit, helmet, and altimeter.

Groups can range from around 5 to 10 people.
Minimum age
To be allowed to skydive independently, you must be aged 16 or over. If you are under 18, you will also need permission from both your parents or your guardian.
Maximum age
The maximum age for undertaking a skydiving course at Skydive Teuge is 50. Skydiving is a physically and mentally demanding high-speed sport that requires quick and appropriate action in certain situations. We know from experience that older people find it much harder to pick this up as quickly as younger people. Despite all the safety measures in place, the risk of acting incorrectly or too late increases significantly, sometimes resulting in unpleasant and serious injuries.
Yes! A medical declaration is required to take part in a skydiving course. The declaration is valid for 2 years. This does not apply to tandem jumps.
